Galerie Écho 119
The gallery and bookshop Écho 119 was founded in 2016 by Noëlle Colin, who has shared her life between France and Japan for many years. Specialising in photography, the gallery presents the work of established and emerging photographers, with a particular focus on Japanese artists.
Without ever deviating from this double culture which makes its identity and determines its line, the Écho 119 gallery has been enriched by new artistic sensibilities, whose common point is the practice of an art concerned with environmental, geopolitical, societal or intimate issues.
Whatever the approach adopted by the artists we exhibit - documentary or personal - it is necessarily coupled with an important formal preoccupation, an aesthetic research that makes their images intellectually and visually powerful works of art.
