Susy Cagliero, laureatasi in Architettura al Politecnico di Torino alla fine degli anni ’80, è da
sempre votata all’arte figurativa ed ora trova la massima ispirazione nel contesto fotografico.
Si è dedicata per molti anni alla ricerca materica e di recupero dei materiali e aveva sviluppato
un originale metodo di pittura su reti sovrapposte per creare un effetto spaziale e
tridimensionale. Con queste opere ha partecipato a numerose mostre in Italia e all’estero; tra
le quali è da ricordare la 54° BIENNALE di VENEZIA Padiglione Italia del 2012.
Quando, una decina di anni fa, si converte totalmente alla fotografia, grazie alla sua
provenienza dal mondo della pittura, ricerca nello scatto un mosso creativo, che trasmetta un
senso pittorico alla scena. Le piace pensare di dipingere con la macchina fotografica. Linee che
scorrono parallele e compongono l'immagine come fossero pennellate di colore.
Nei suoi progetti artistico-fotografici ha sempre affrontato il tema del tempo.

Susy Cagliero, who graduated in Architecture at the Turin Polytechnic in the late 1980s, is from
she has always been devoted to figurative art and now she finds maximum inspiration in the photographic context.
She has dedicated herself for many years to material research and recovery of materials and she had developed
an original method of painting on overlapping nets to create a spatial effect and
three dimensional. With these works you have participated in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad; between
which is to remember the 54th BIENNALE of VENICE Italian Pavilion in 2012.
When she, about ten years ago, she totally converted to photography, thanks to hers
of her origin from the world of painting, she searches in the shot for a creative blur, which transmits a
pictorial sense to the scene. She likes to think of painting with a camera. Lines that
they run parallel and compose the image as if they were brushstrokes of colour.
