"Annalisa Rosso “Dalla Turchia, con amore”
Un calligrafo turco. Una fotografa italiana. Le immagini sbocciano da questo reciproco confronto. E non si può dire se si tratti di posti vicini o lontani, se questi siano spazi reali o immaginari, se si stia fluttuando, di fronte a queste fotografie, dentro se stessi, negli spazi più nascosti della propria animalità istintuale oppure se ci si trovi a cospetto di un’eredità granitica, immutabile, che sfiora la sacralità. Ci si ritrova nudi davanti alla calma sapienza e all’armonia che queste foto trasmettono.
“Ars longa Vita brevis”: per la fotografa il calligrafo cita Seneca, che a sua volta riprende Ippocrate di Kos: “Vita brevis, ars longa, occasio praeceps, experimentum periculosum, iudicium difficile”, (“la vita breve, l’arte lunga, l’occasione fuggevole, l’esperimento pericoloso, il giudizio difficile”), L’occasione, l’esperimento, il giudizio si piegano sotto lo sguardo così consapevole di Ernesta Caviola, che ferma e fonde l’arte del calligrafo all’arte sua, in un gioco di rimandi e specchi, richiami e muti riconoscimenti, in una danza di reciproci sguardi che sospende il tempo, annulla lo spazio e ci lascia in balia di una sensazione forte e rassicurante: la forza della saggezza è cosa di questo mondo. Non saremo perduti, finché avremo donne e uomini, e la loro arte e poesia, pronti a ricordarci chi siamo."

A turkish calligrapher. An Italian photographer. Vorrei essere come fotografa la corrispondente di una facitrice di madonne, infinite e sottili variazioni sul tema, lavorando sul margine delle cose. Il mio intento è fotografare come avrei dipinto, su commissione, una giovane donna scalza con bambino, colma di particolari rivelatori, una madonna certo, le cose non sono mai ciò che sembrano. Guardare e riguardare un’immagine permette l’epifania dei luoghi e sconnette il fluire blasé delle infinite cose che ci circondano.
I would like to be as a photographer a correspondent of Madonnas maker, infinite and subtle variations on the theme, working on the edge of things.My aim now is to photo- graph as I would paint on commission, a young barefoot woman with child, full of special detectors, a Madonna of course; things are never what they seem. Allows an image to see again and the epiphany of places, cities, children grow up and just disconnects the flow blasé countless things that surround us.
