Il progetto fotografico di gruppo presentato dalla Galleria Luisa Catucci per il MIA PHOTO FAIR 2023, offre un punto di vista originale sullo spirito femminile e sullo sguardo femminile universale, ispirandosi alla famosa teoria dell'artista, psicoanalista, psicologa clinica, scrittrice e pittrice Bracha L. Ettinger. Le sue teorie, che hanno rivoluzionato la psicoanalisi, evidenziano una dimensione femminile-materna-matrixial (matriciale) nella creatività artistica e nell'etica della cura e della responsabilità, che va ben oltre il gender e la sessualità. The photographic group project for MIA PHOTO FAIR 2023 presented by Luisa Catucci Gallery aims to offer an original position concerning universal feminine spirit and female gaze, inspired by the notorious theory by artist, psychoanalyst, clinical psychologist, writer and painter Bracha L. Ettinger. Her theories, which revolutionized psychoanalysis point out on a feminine-maternal-'matrixial' (matricial) dimension in artistic creativity and in ethics of care and responsibility, that goes way beyond gender and sexuality. The project presented by Luisa Catucci is an allegory of the feminine and maternal nourishing principles of home, and nature.

Elisabeth Masé è un'artista multidisciplinare e scrittrice. È pittrice e disegnatrice, fotografa, realizza oggetti, progetta spazi e architetture, produce film artistici e sta creando come dramaturg e scenografa concetti artistici per una compagnia di danza internazionale. Dal 2016 ha realizzato progetti artistici interdisciplinari e sociali in Europa, Africa occidentale e Stati Uniti. È nata a Basilea e ha studiato presso l'Università di Arte e Design di Basilea, HGK/FHNW. Dal 1984 al 1997 ha insegnato pittura e disegno presso l'HGK/FHNW e nel 1994 come professore ospite presso l'Accademia Statale d'Arte di Oslo. Dal 1996 vive e lavora in Germania, dal 2012 a Berlino. Ha esposto in noti musei e associazioni d'arte in Europa e negli Stati Uniti, tra cui Kunsthalle Palazzo a Liestal, Halle Sud a Ginevra, Kunsthalle Basel, Musée d'Art et d'Histoire, Neuchâtel, Svizzera; Kunsthalle Bielefeld e Bielefelder Kunstverein; MARTa Chapel e Museum MARTa, Herford; Kunstverein Synagoge, Oerlingshausen, Kunstverein Moabit/Galerie Nord e Kunstquartier Bethanien, Berlino, Germania; Trieste Contemporanea Studio Tommaseo, Trieste, IT; Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, Ithaca, New York, USA.
Le sue opere nello spazio pubblico includono "Les Cours Etoilées" nella Facoltà di Scienze dell'Università di Neuchâtel (con Simon Rösch, architetto), "Der Morgen" nel Bielefelder Kunstverein, Museum Waldhof (con Andreas Wannenmacher, architetto), e il "Raum der Stille" nella Capella Hospitalis (con BHP Architekten) a Bielefeld. Dal 1992, Elisabeth Masé pubblica libri d'artista bibliofili ed edizioni grafiche con la Verlag Kleinheinrich, Münster. Nel 2021, è stato pubblicato il suo romanzo "Das schlafende Krokodil (Il coccodrillo addormentato)". Elisabeth Masé is a multidisciplinary artist and novelist. She is a painter and draftswoman, photographs, makes objects, designs spaces and architectures, produces artistic films, and is creating as a dramaturg and stage designer artistic concepts for an international dance company. Since 2016 she has realised interdisciplinary and social art projects in Europe, West Africa and the US. She was born in Basel and studied at the Basel University of Art and Design, HGK/FHNW. From 1984 to 1997 she taught painting and drawing at the HGK/FHNW and in 1994 as a visiting professor at the State Academy of Art in Oslo. Since 1996 she lives and works in Germany, since 2012 in Berlin. She has exhibited in well-known museums and art associations in Europe and the U.S., including Kunsthalle Palazzo in Liestal, Halle Sud in Geneva, Kunsthalle Basel, Musée d'Art et d'Histoire, Neuchâtel, Switzerland; Kunsthalle Bielefeld and Bielefelder Kunstverein; MARTa Chapel and Museum MARTa, Herford; Kunstverein Synagoge, Oerlingshausen, Kunstverein Moabit/Galerie Nord and Kunstquartier Bethanien, Berlin, Germany; Trieste Contemporanea Studio Tommaseo, Trieste, IT; Herbert F.
