Caroline Gavazzi è una fotografa franco-italiana con sede a Milano.
Ha trascorso i primi anni dei suoi studi tra Parigi, dove si è diplomata in Urbanistica alla Sorbona e Londra, dove ha conseguito un Master in Fotografia Professionale presso LCC (London College of Communication). Caroline ha lavorato come Picture Coordinator nel dipartimento artistico di Vogue UK e come Picture Editor per la rivista Harvey Nichols. Allo stesso tempo ha iniziato il suo percorso come fotografa freelance specializzandosi in interni, ritratti e still-life per riviste come Vogue UK, House & Garden, Tatler, Condé Nast Traveller & Elle, per citarne alcune.
La costante ricerca dell’immagine spinge Caroline poco alla volta ad allontanarsi dalla pratica commerciale ed avvicinarsi all’esplorazione personale, intima, sempre alla ricerca di nuove forma di espressione, utilizzando la fotografia come suo principale media.
Il lavoro di Gavazzi è influenzato dalle sfide della vita quotidiana. Esplora i contrasti, abbellendo quelle realtà attraverso metafore visive ed elementi estetici. Realizza installazioni fotografiche tridimensionali che fanno leva sullo spostamento visivo creato da strati di materia, coinvolgendo così gli spettatori, inducendoli ad avvicinarsi e condividere criticamente le domande sollevate dalle sua ricerca.

Caroline Gavazzi is a French/Italian photographer based in Milan.
She spent the early years of her studies between Paris, where she graduated in Urbanism at the Sorbonne, and London, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Professional Photography at the LCC (London College of Communication). Caroline worked as Picture Coordinator in the Art Department at Vogue UK and as Picture Editor for the Harvey Nichols magazine. At the same time she started her freelance journey as a photographer for interiors, portraits, and still life for magazines such as Vogue UK, House & Garden, Tatler, Condé Nast Traveller & Elle, to mention a few.
Her exploration of image gradually led her away from the commercial practice to a deeper personal path seeking new forms of expression using photography as her main media.
Gavazzi’s work is influenced by the challenges of everyday life. She explores the contrasts, embellishing those realities through visual metaphors and aesthetic elements. She creates three-dimensional photographic installations that lever on the visual displacement created by layers of material, thus involving spectators, inducing them to approach and critically share the questions raised by her research.
