Anna Di Prospero presenta i lavori più sperimentali e introspettivi della sua produzione. Le opere si articolano in dittici e composizioni di nove immagini in una sequenza affine agli storyboard cinematografici.
Entrambe le serie sono ispirate a pellicole cinematografiche: Instinct, nata dall’esigenza di tornare a fotografare con spensieratezza e spontaneità, ha assunto nel tempo la forma di un dialogo tra macrocosmo e microcosmo, mentre Ardor presenta micro-sequenze fotografiche che mostrano le declinazioni dell’impetuosità dell’amore, come esplosioni di forze che possono conciliare e allontanare.
Anna Di Prospero presents the most experimental and introspective works of her production. Her works are divided into diptychs and compositions of nine images in a sequence similar to cinematographic storyboards.
Both series are inspired by cinematographic films: Instinct, born from the need to return to photography with lightheartedness and spontaneity, has taken on the form of a dialogue between macrocosm and microcosm over time, while Ardor presents photographic micro-sequences that show the variations of impetuosity of love, like explosions of forces that can reconcile and distance.

Anna di Prospero nasce a Roma nel 1987. Ha studiato fotografia presso l’Istituto Europeo di Design a Roma e presso la School of Visual Arts di New York. La sua ricerca fotografica si caratterizza per il segno introspettivo con cui esplora la quotidianità e il rapporto tra uomo e spazio. Il suo lavoro è stato esposto in numerose mostre personali e collettive in Italia e Stati Uniti, tra cui Les Rencontres D’Arles, Month of Photography Los Angeles, La Triennale di Milano e il Palazzo delle Esposizioni di Roma. Tra i suoi riconoscimenti il Sony World Photography nella categoria Portraiture, il People Photographer of the Year degli International Photography Awards e il Discovery of the Year dei Lucie Awards 2011. Nel 2022 esce la sua prima monografia, Nei miei occhi, edita da Contrasto, e sempre nello stesso anno l’artista è stata protagonista della mostra “La memoria delle stazioni” presso l’Auditorium Parco della Musica di Roma.
Anna Di Prospero was born in Rome in 1987.
She studied photography at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome and at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
Her projects explore everyday life and the relationship between human and environment. She had many solo and group shows in Europe and United States, including Les Rencontres D’Arles, Month of Photography Los Angeles, FotoGrafia Festival Internazionale di Roma and La Triennale di Milano. Her work has been widely featured in international magazines and tv shows.
Di Prospero’s awards include the Sony World Photography Award in Portrait category, the People Photographer of the Year of the International Photography Awards and the Discovery of the Year of the Lucie Awards 2011.
