Elise Mazac (nato nel 1988) aka Mazaccio e Robert Drowilal (nato nel 1986) sono due artisti francesi che lavorano insieme come un duo collaborativo chiamato MAZACCIO & DROWILAL.
Lavorando principalmente con la fotografia e il collage, il duo decostruisce molteplici sfaccettature della cultura visiva contemporanea attraverso il loro processo di raccolta e organizzazione delle immagini dei mass media. La loro pratica visiva e il loro approccio estetico sono fortemente influenzati dalle nuove iconografie di Internet e dalla cultura digitale.
Mazaccio e Drowilal hanno esplorato un'ampia gamma di argomenti relativi a celebrità, branding, artificiosità e identità.
Nel 2013, Mazaccio & Drowilal sono stati premiati dalla 3a BMW Residency al Musée Nicéphore Niépce. Nel 2017 sono stati residenti presso l'International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) a New York.
Il loro lavoro è stato esposto in mostre personali a Rencontres d'Arles, Paris Photo, Les Abattoirs, Tolosa, Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow and French Institute, New York, e mostre collettive in Galleria Continua, Les Moulins, Musée Nicéphore Niépce e Palais des Beaux-Arts Parigi.
Inoltre, hanno pubblicato diversi libri d'artista tra cui Wild Style (2014), Champagne (RVB Books, 2015) e The Happiness Project (RVB Books, 2018), Paparazzi (RVB Books, 2021).
Sono docenti in visita presso l'Ecole cantonale d'art de Lausanne (ECAL) in Svizzera.

Elise Mazac (b. 1988) aka Mazaccio and Robert Drowilal (b. 1986) are two french artists who work together as a collaborative duo called MAZACCIO & DROWILAL.
Working principally with photography and collage, the duo deconstruct multiple facets of contemporary visual culture through their process of gathering and arranging mass-media images. Their visual practice and aesthetic approach are heavily influenced by the Internet' new iconographies and digital culture.
Mazaccio & Drowilal have explored a wide breadth of subjects pertaining to celebrity, branding, artificiality, and identity.
In 2013, Mazaccio & Drowilal have been awarded by the 3rd BMW Residency at the Musée Nicéphore Niépce. In 2017, they were residents at International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in New York.
Their work has been exhibited in solo exhibitions at Rencontres d’Arles, Paris Photo, Les Abattoirs, Toulouse, Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow and French Institute, New York, and group exhibitions in Galleria Continua, Les Moulins, Musée Nicéphore Niépce and Palais des Beaux-Arts Paris.
