One of Christian’s notable projects is titled ‘Ma Se Kinders,’ which translates into ‘Mothers Children’ in Afrikaans. This fine art project goes beyond its artistic value and aims to decolonize a South African soul that is incorporated in a complex history of apartheid and colonization.
Elaborating this series, Christian recently created his body of work “!Noma.” which takes place in the picturesque fishing village of Hangberg, located in Cape Town. A surfer and lover of the sea himself, Christian works with oceanic mythologies to celebrate the deeply rooted migratory patterns within Africa.
