La serie "Under waves" consiste in fotografie monocromatiche "overpainted" che ritraggono la maestosa furia del mare che salta il cielo, mostrando l'enigmaticità della forza dell'oceano.
Un'onda è una perturbazione (cambiamento dall'equilibrio) di uno o più campi, che rappresenta forti emozioni e un improvviso impulso ad andare avanti nella vita.
Perdersi negli abissi e ritrovare se stessi, mettendo in discussione non solo il funzionamento della percezione, ma anche la nostra relazione con la "natura" e il sublime. Il corpo agisce come un'estensione della natura.
Fabian Albertini usa il contrasto tra l'oggettività piatta di una foto e la tattilità della pittura applicata dalla mano dell'artista... l'atto dello scatto appartiene al passato, l'atto della pittura riporta l'opera al presente.
The series “Under waves” consists of monochrome "overpainted photographs" depicting the majestic fury of the sea leap the sky, showing the enigmatic of the ocean force.
A wave is a disturbance (change from equilibrium) of one or more fields, representing strong emotions and a sudden urge to move ahead in life.
Getting lost in the abysses and finding yourself, questioning not only how perception works, but also our relation to “nature” and the sublime. The body acts as an extension of nature.
Fabian Albertini uses the contrast between the flat objectiveness of a photo and the tactility of paint applied by the artist’s hand… the act of shooting belongs to the past, the act of painting brings the work back to the present.
