MIA Photo Fair
MIA Photo Fair, conceived in 2011 from an idea of Fabio Castelli, is based on a unique element of innovation that distinguishes MIA Photo Fair from traditional Italian and international art fairs scene: one stand for each artist and each artist having his/her own catalogue. Composed of solo show, MIA Photo Fair offered a unique approach to presenting a solo exhibition at each booth and location detail. In 2015, on the occasion of its 5th anniversary and the World Exposition EXPO 2015 in Milan, MIA Photo Fair is expanding its particular format in Group Show booth that have a specific curatorial project, provided that it is inspired by the themes of Expo 2015. MIA Photo Fair was created with the aim of highlighting the transverse role that photography has come to play between the languages of expression of the contemporary art system.
AN INNOVATIVE CATALOGUE: TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
The catalogue is conceived in an innovative way. Since its first edition MIA Photo Fair has offered to its exhibitors and visitors a personal catalogue for each stand. Starting from 2014 MIA Photo Fair presents a new solution MIA Photo Fair Card + eBook. In order to propose a more innovative, greener, pocket-sized catalogue MIA Photo Fair has decided to replace the printed copies with a new solution. Visitors will collect the MIA Cards among booths and download the eBook of each artists from the QR code printed on the cards (suitable for tablet, smartphone, PC e Mac). In 2016, the e-book catalogs of exhibitors were consulted by 9,425 users + 334% compared to 2015

MIA Photo Fair provides a rich cultural program, with events and conferences dedicated to the world of art and photography, which aims to support a conscious collectors with insights and important guests in the Italian and international art scene.
