Professional artist and photograph, Ștefan Bădulescu is a PhD in visual arts and a graduate of the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca (ROO). With an impressive selection of participation to competitions, biennales and group exhibitions nationally and internationally (USA, Great Britain, Morocco, Japan, Argentina, etc.), the artist is also a winner of an international miniature photography prize („With&Without”, Timișoara). His artistic concerns are highlighted by both the narrative approach, and by the conceptual. Its projects are in constant progress: from the natural state of existence of things, the frames capture an atmosphere of abandonment in which objects are part of the individual and collective memory, torn from the context of present reality ("No Man's Land"); from another perspective, the exaggerated objects and living beings are ordering themselves it in a surreal manner ("Random Dreams"), or they transcend the laws of physics, producing complex rhythms and games of reverse perspective that adapts the movement to the principles of synthesis of bi-dimensionality ("Kaleidoscope"). In Ștefan Bădulescu’s vision, the contemporary photography follows rigors which transcend the immediate illustration of reality, making themselves up into imaginary structures with a unique symbolic charge.
