I am fascinating by the light. Light , with its transformations, changeability, and variety of forms.
My artistic direction can be called “ real and unreal landscape”, with elements of simbolism, romantism and fantasy.
This will offer to the audience a fascinating journey through the light and to the light that could represent to people a hope, a dream or an absolute truth. Leda has been a member of the Ward Nasse Gallery for over 15 years. We were immediately impressed with this artist’s presentation of works that she made in her Brazilian homeland. We knew from the beginning that this artist was special. It was apparent that she could work competently and professionally in many styles and media.
Her installation "Between Desire and Seduction" performed here in December 2004 was a spectacular success. Over the past few years she has participated in many of our shows and she exhibits in our International Salon.
Her solo show “I Like Blue but I Prefer Red" was one of our memorable exhibitions. All of Leda's works express her own unique sensitivity to light, as well as form and color, yet there is an underlying visual strength that showily surfaces in all her works.
She uses many different media. There is no limit to the various materials that might be used in achieving certain effects. She can combine incongruous shapes and objects and make them work together with unusual skill and sensitivity. Leda is an artist through and through. She is one of the best. I am sure this will become more and more apparent as time goes on as she continues to make her mark in the art world.
